The Premise
A look into some of the awe-inspiring adventure films that make up Kendal Mountain Festival.
Life On The Edge brings together some of the astounding independent films that are entered into Kendal Mountain Festival each year.
In this four part series, multiple films are shown in each episode that cover a wide range of incredible adventure sports and inspiring human achievements, with a narrator introducing each new film. The films are chosen from entries to Kendal Mountain Festival, an annual adventure film festival showcasing the best in films from the adventure world over the course of a three day festival in the Lake District town of Kendal.
Life On The Edge is an insight into the outside world and all it has to offer us, from the first episode with the utterly spell-binding ‘Flying Frenchies’ and their cliff catapult, to the beautiful wild swimming documentary ‘Afterglow’ in episode four.
The entire series is narrated by Keme Nzerem, sports correspondent for Channel 4 news. Keme leads the sports team on Channel 4 and has done since 2010, lending his natural humour and insight to all of his coverage.
