Captive Minds has been appointed to tell the story of the 2014 Dallaglio Cycle Slam, the main fundraising expedition of the Dallaglio Foundation.
Former England rugby captain and 2003 World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio set up the Foundation after he lost his his mother to cancer in 2008. The work of the charity focuses on marginalised young people, helping them make better life choices, increasing their sense of worth and employability.
The Cycle Slam brings together fundraisers, keen cyclists and rugby fans to ride through some of Europe’s most iconic and gruelling routes, following the grand tours of the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France. The Cycle Slam’s fourth and final stage starts in Britain covering the first days of the 2014 Tour de France which sets off from Yorkshire in July.
Captive Minds has started the project by filming an in-depth interview with Lawrence, discussing the work of the Foundation. We look forward to joining the cyclists on the Slam to document their accomplishments as they push themselves to the limit. Good luck to all participants!
